It was a bug in mod_smacks

Now i'm getting messages again

Also tried updrading from mod_vcard to mod_vcard4 and vcard_legacy

Still breaks things and deletes vcards

But mod_vcard works fine enough so i'm not aware of a reason to upgrade

what you can't cover is obviously what happens beyond the boundaries of your own service

I just update and warn users about the changes, if they don't agree they can just deregister account if they keep to use it, they implicitly accept which is what most services do and is acceptable by the GDPR also.
