  2. Neustradamus

    tom: yes: jabber.ietf.org

  3. raucao

anyone knows what this app is? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vs.xmppmessenger&hl=en_US&gl=US

  4. tom

It looks like an xmpp client i've never heard of

  5. tom

The description is severely lacking in technical specfications

  6. Kris

    https://sites.google.com/view/kittytail/xmppmessenger-privacy-policy

  7. Kris

seems more like an show case app for their app development service

  8. Kris

never heard of it before either. but even claims to support OMEMO

  9. tom

    That's not to disparage it

  10. tom

I literally just never heard of it before

  11. Tim_

pepta.net, I wrote my custom user registration foo with https://github.com/wltsmrz/mod_admin_rest

  12. mimi89999

    Hello

  13. mimi89999

Is any XMPP server showing ToS or privacy policy in IBR form?

  14. mimi89999

    I need to test https://github.com/dino/dino/pull/990

  15. Kris

maybe Snikket? no idea. I just know it is an idea floating around

  16. shaarad

Licaon_Kter: thank you, I was able to set up the invitations to my server!

  17. shaarad

Though not really sure who to send those invites to lol

  18. Licaon_Kter

    :)

  19. mimi89999

The only server that has a ToS in the form that I know about is lightwitch.org

  20. neox

mimi89999, chapril.org also has ToS (but frenchcrypted yeah)

  21. mimi89999

The only client showing it that I know about is Gajim.

  22. Kris

ah so Metronome has support for that? (lightswitch.org seems to run that)

  23. vanitasvitae

raucao: > anyone knows what this app is? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vs.xmppmessenger&hl=en_US&gl=US Hum, I just did some research and it appears that this app contains classes taken from conversations. As well as of course libsignal as expected.

  24. vanitasvitae

So they better be GPL licensed ;)

  25. mimi89999

On the third screenshot you can see old conversations conv list

  26. vanitasvitae

    `<string name="conversations_foreground_service">Xmpp Messenger</string>`

  29. mimi89999

    neox, I don't see it.

  30. neox

mimi89999, yeah didn't understand well (read too fast). We send our ToS with the welcome message. Don't know if ejabberd supports that message

  31. neox

to be sent with registration form

  32. mimi89999

    > ah so Metronome has support for that? (lightswitch.org seems to run that) Kris: Or they added it in their own. I will need to check that. Anyway, it's very easy to add custom fields to Prosody's registration form.

  33. Kris

seems like lightswitch is run by the metronome developers though

  34. Maranda

    > ah so Metronome has support for that? (lightswitch.org seems to run that) lightwitch.org ....🔥😼

  35. Maranda

Metronome and lightwitch.org do some very peculiar things during and also after IBR

  36. Maranda

Metronome and lightwitch.org in particular do some *very peculiar* things _during_ and also _after_ IBR

  37. mimi89999

    It's in Metronome: https://github.com/maranda/metronome/commit/89f49ee2f4cb6825c19f9d60b6aae00435d5614f

  38. mimi89999

    > Metronome and lightwitch.org in particular do some *very peculiar* things _during_ and also _after_ IBR What are they doing?

  40. mimi89999

    Ping

  41. mimi89999

    Did the image go through?

  42. mjk

    mimi89999: Yup

  43. mjk

By the way, I always was curious, can the server provide text in multiple languages at the same time (perhaps, using xml:lang), so the client can choose the localization?

  44. mimi89999

    Yes

  45. mjk

    Oh that's nice

  46. mimi89999

    See https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0004.html#examples-config

  47. mjk

Ah, so in this case client has the opportunity to specify form language. Does this also work for error messages?

  48. mjk

    (Not registration-related, but in general)

  49. mimi89999

    No clue

  50. mjk

    Alright, thanks anyway
