  6. Licaon_Kter

  7. Wiktor

The cert expired? It's not me.

  8. Licaon_Kter

    I've pinged rom1dep

  9. rob

I'm glad I'm not the only one whose certs have expired on them

  10. Licaon_Kter

    mimi89999, fixed?

  11. mimi89999

    Don't know. Didn't check

    > I'm glad I'm not the only one whose certs have expired on them https://observe.jabber.network/ tells you 7 days in advance. 😉

Isn't there a chance to disco via plain telnet for admin ? I've tried it some times, but only error response. I knew with gajim it should be possible, but without python3.7 no gajim.

ernst.on.tour, unlikely, you’d have to do TLS by yourself j)

  15. jonas’

ernst.on.tour, unlikely, you’d have to do TLS by yourself ;)

  16. ernst.on.tour

Okay, without cert no TLS Thought disco could be done without it 😕

  17. jonas’

if you go via c2s, you need a login. logins will generally require TLS. if you go via s2s, you need to authenticate for your domain, which either happens via TLS or via dialback; even with dialback, many servers will nowadays require TLS.

Some times ago I initiate a session via openssl for the TLS-part. Could query something, but can't remember what, to long ago.

  19. jonas’

    oh yeah, that works

  20. jonas’

but that’s not telnet either ;)

  21. rob

    > https://observe.jabber.network/ tells you 7 days in advance. 😉 Theoretically it should not happen to me again, but who knows. I have traefik for certs and a container watching for changes and dumping them for prosody

  22. ernst.on.tour

  23. ernst.on.tour

    Sorry, should be wisper 😉
