  1. Menel

Since it states, its build upon conversejs, I think the answer is yes.. Need bosh or websocket I would guess.. Just try it?

  2. ru_maniac

tried it, got a blank page, and nothing of use in the browser's console

  3. ru_maniac

I would imagine that since websockets are not listed in dig's output, I'm out of luck for now?

  4. ru_maniac

    $ dig -t SRV _xmpp-client._tcp.jabber.ru ; <<>> DiG 9.16.23 <<>> -t SRV _xmpp-client._tcp.jabber.ru ;; global options: +cmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 50731 ;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 2, AUTHORITY: 2, ADDITIONAL: 3 ;; OPT PSEUDOSECTION: ; EDNS: version: 0, flags:; udp: 4096 ;; QUESTION SECTION: ;_xmpp-client._tcp.jabber.ru.   5. ru_maniac

ah, my mistake, should've used "dig -t txt _xmppconnect.jabber.ru"

  6. ru_maniac

actually, server has both ws and bosh support -- at least, DNS records are there

  7. MattJ

ru_maniac: there are two ways of advertising BOSH/WS support (both in the XEP). The DNS one is generally less useful because web apps can't make arbitrary DNS queries

  8. ru_maniac

well, as far as I can tell, there's a valid announce for jabber.ru

  9. ru_maniac

    https://jabber.ru/.well-known/host-meta.json

  10. ru_maniac

(the same goes for host-meta without an extension)

  11. MattJ

If you're not in a rush, file an issue on Github and I'll look into it at some point in the coming weeks

  12. ru_maniac

MattJ: no rush at all, I'll post an issue once I'll check everything again

  13. MattJ

As I was saying yesterday, there are many things that still need work on the migrator. A blank page is obviously not something that should happen in any case :)

  14. MattJ

But it was a rushed prototype that did the job it was initially built for. Just need to make it more robust and user-friendly.

  15. ru_maniac

    I totally understand

  16. ru_maniac

I've posted an issue, with some browser console output, hope it'll help

  17. Ellenor Bjornsd.

Is there any real solution to the Changeur problem other than just crowding them out with other users and moderating vulnerable chats?

  18. jonas’

    don't feed the troll?

  20. Licaon_Kter

You kinda feed them everytime. PMs are disabled in Offtopic just for this reason, so there's no invisible abuse.

  21. Licaon_Kter

Yes, you are not obligated to respon even if they talk $hit.

  22. Sapotaceae

    > You kinda feed them everytime. I deeply concur, *everytime*.

  23. Licaon_Kter

Yes, you are not obligated to respond even if they talk $hit.

  25. Martin

I don't want to swing with agents anyway!

  26. Martin is not a swinger at all…

  27. Licaon_Kter

    Martin: but an agent?

  28. Martin

I'm not allowed to tell you.
