Licaon_Kter: the problem with Jitsi Meet is some annoying one, tbh I tried to get that to work with Metronome, but they keept progressing on tighting the integration with Prosody and now there's honestly too much stuff to eventually backport
-
Maranda
And also more stuff I'd need to actually "parse" before attempting at doing anything
-
Licaon_Kter
Maranda: that's for basic functionality (without their special mod_)?

Maranda: mmm..., I found a guide to making Jitsi meet work with ejabberd, last year or the year before that I think. I keep trying to find the time to try to running through it..., I guess if it's become impossible then it's at least... good that I never got around to investing time into it?

Licaon_Kter
rozzin: vanitasvitae's one? That worked fine back then...at least
-
Menel
Even most prosody users gave up trying to get jitis meet working with prosody, one just installes their prosody-version with their config.

Holger
Yes right now it's definitely impossible with ejabberd. Wouldn't be all too much work to port the required patches, but I'm not sure I want to play cat and mouse.
-
Holger
Right now it also won't work with Prosody 0.12 by the way.
-
MattJ
Do you know why?
-
MattJ
A couple of people have upgraded and said that it broke, but the funny thing is that Jitsi themselves used trunk nightlies for a while, and put work into supporting stable (0.11) builds
-
Holger
MattJ: No idea sorry, I've just seen the warning in their docs.

Licaon_Kter: apparently all the modules are needed now
-
Maranda[x]
At least according to their docs
-
Licaon_Kter
Do those replace xmpp with a rest api already? :))
-
Maranda
Licaon_Kter: not from the looks
