    > ehm. Can I write to u in private? nervos the others might think less of me if sumthin is wrong. Fuck those people, they are obviously not here to help, if they are they are here at all. The advantage of public discussion is all that are participating or observing, benefit from what is known and learnt.

  2. Ellenor Bjornsd.

    Alastair Hogge: Wow. Back off.

  3. Licaon_Kter

Not sure who Alastair Hogge was targeting, me, or the person needing help, or both, or none.

  4. Alastair Hogge

neither, but the _others_ who might bully kaligatt for might think less of them

  5. Alastair Hogge

  6. Alastair Hogge

neither, but the _others_ who might bully kaligatt for thinking less of them because of their configuration/problems

  7. Licaon_Kter

    I thought that was a joke :)

  8. Alastair Hogge

Sometimes there can be a degree of truth in a joke.

  9. jonas’

Alastair Hogge, while I agree in sentiment, please be more careful with your wording in the future. My initial reading made me think you were insulting kaligatt, which would have been intolerable.

  10. agh

    Oh bother

  11. agh

    My gosh

  12. agh

kaligatt: Sorry if I scared you off, or offended, I was merely attempting to seed some confidence in you regarding sharing your issue.

  13. kaligatt

Okey . So my DNS records were pointing towards (I have cleared it, but more or less something like this) Device= SBC using dietpi A records: Domain - device-IP groups.domain - device IP share.domain - device IP

  14. kaligatt

No AAA since im not using IPv6

  15. kaligatt

Or I might have to use my ISP IP? Cause device have got its ip through ddns

  16. Menel

The A record needs to point to your Internet facing IP. If you have a changing IP and update a record with some service, you can point to that DNS name (the one from a dyndns provider) with cname records instead.
