The sha256 option in mod_muc_rtbl is default option or must be explicitely set?

    > I'd like to see more work on moderation tooling in XMPP. I've thrown a few things out, and they're useful, but there's a lot more that could be done to expand them and make them more user-friendly. The Cheogram Android team recently implemented MUC moderation tooling in a prerelease version over the weekend, and offered to upstream to Conversations. They're seeking testers, as to my understanding, the functionality was quickly added to address the spam attacks over the weekend. https://github.com/iNPUTmice/Conversations/issues/3920

  28. Ray22

The Cheogram team's MUC is: xmpp:discuss@conference.soprani.ca?join

  29. mjk

philosophically, the xmpp spam waves are actually a good thing? and we all should thank the spammers :)) look at how many people learned of the antispam tools and/or set them up, and how much progress has there been in the tooling in general

  30. MattJ

I agree, but of course if the spammers didn't spam then we wouldn't need these tools to be deployed :)

  31. Licaon_Kter

Was all a setup... to sell more clients moderation fixes PRs :))

  32. Menel

Yeah, I also thought it is the most effective feature request.. But not a very nice one.

  33. Licaon_Kter

    Well...if it works ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) https://github.com/conversejs/converse.js/pull/3145
