  5. nuegia.net

OMEMO needs the server to implement pep to work properly

  6. nuegia.net

for key storage and other things

  8. moparisthebest

Right, but if servers started blocking that clients would find a way, go back to otr maybe

  9. nuegia.net

unless the client developer deprecated all the oher e2e methods and removed them from recent versions of the client.

  10. moparisthebest

I'm talking about some theoretical future where laws require servers to block e2e

  11. moparisthebest

It's an arms race and the blockers will lose, I'm not worried about it

  12. diane

benk, i also have several slack workspaces open, and am running out of ram... so there's many ways things could be going wrong.

Oh sorry, wrong room. We just had a very long talk in another room about why you should not use such a proxy to justify continuing to use the same monopolist. But I think it is off-topic on this MUC.

  27. msavoritias

    > > <msavoritias> well we dont live in a perfect world so.. > > - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollar_voting > - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foot_voting these things are myths. but yeah feel free to go to that other room. its offtopic here anyway :)

  28. C3PO

Hehe, guys, this is funny: Right now, in parallel in a German MUC, some people complain that the petition is English only. And you complain about YouTube-Links. 🙃 But the petition is actually about a different and a really serious topic. So please consider signing the petition and try to forget about language and YouTube for a second. Thanks! 🤓
