Hey o/ Anybody here has experience with having prosody and a fedi server (mastodon, pleroma, akkoma, etc.) use the same auth? Like ldap, oauth and stuff. We need a tutorial for it so we can post it in the joinjabber website the sooner the better.

Ellenor Bjornsd.
(Pler|Akk)oma publishes a script for ejabberd to auth against the (pler|akk)oma.
-
msavoritias
Yeah for ejabberd its easy it seems. Thats why we are looking for prosody specifically
-
msavoritias
We will link snikket in the post too of course

Openfire out of the box has support for LDAP / AD. You can also configure custom SQL queries for auth, or provide a customJava implementation.

diane
agh the traditional solution to integrating server login might be use something like libnss-ldapd/libpam-ldapd or sssd to pull from LDAP

diane: Nice, I would still like pull it off one day.
