The good: _server connection ISP just enabled IPv6_ (via local or Wi-Fi, https://test-ipv6.com/ gives me 10/10) The bad: _my mobile data ISP has not enabled IIPv6_ The ugly: _it's the same ISP_

Looks lixe I need to drop my IPv6 DNS entries since routing is broken atm _(didn't have how to test anyway lol)_

please fix Ipv6. It's signifcantly simpler to setup and actually works like packetized networks are supposed to without a router having to do connection tracking

there have been more then twice where ipv4 has had an outage but ipv6 kept working due to no-nat

it not only costs more in routers but IP public addressing cost me extra too

unfortunately lots of equipment especially consumer equipment fucks with IPv6

replace it with non-defective equipment

they usually block ICMP and filter incoming IPv6 packets which makes the benefits of it useless

which equipment is doing this?

most off the shelf consumer routing equipment with the default firmware

some of them (i’m looking at you netgear) don’t even have an option to disable IPv6 filtering

netgear is pretty terrible

I had lots of wifi issues with them in the 2000s

do you need a router/ap combo?

if i was going to make a network i’d probably use UniFi or get a router that’s capable of openwrt/ddwrt/whatever
