DNS seems configured correctly, TLS certificates look fine, I can join that room from here.

mirux, do you have access to your server’s logs?

Also it might indicate that your server is misconfigured, for instance some servers reject invalid certificates.

Are you sure they both work incoming? Domain name would be helpful

Debug logs or your sever address maybe, if only you can't connect there.

If you're unwilling to share more info, you could run testssl.sh against your server and also https://salsa.debian.org/mdosch/xmpp-dns
