  1. latex

Holy crap. Lots of XMPP rooms started using CAPTCHAs and now I cannot join them anymore :(

  2. latex

Also annoying how no one gives me voice in those MUCs

  3. Licaon_Kter

    Why should they?

  4. Menel

That's a strange question., but often you have to ask as a private message latex, many clients don't support something else.

  5. Licaon_Kter

Is it though Menel ? Maybe they're the spammer lol

  6. Menel

Maybe, but assuming that's not the case, most rooms exist to talk

  7. Licaon_Kter

    Right...

  8. Licaon_Kter

But when their owners decide as such

  9. Martin

    > Holy crap. Lots of XMPP rooms started using CAPTCHAs and now I cannot join them anymore :( Ugh, I'm not aware I've came across such MUCs.

  10. jonas’

    jabber.ru ones maybe?

  11. latex

    > Is it though Menel ? Maybe they're the spammer lol Are you suggesting I'm a spammer?

  12. latex

My user agent is not blabber.im/3.0.8 so think again

  13. latex

That user agent seems to be common to one specific spammer I know of

  14. latex

3.0.8 is ancient yet some people still use it for some reason

  15. Licaon_Kter

latex: > My user agent is not blabber.im/3.0.8 so think again Who cares, and that can be faked lol

  16. latex

    True

  17. latex

It was a half joke I guess

  18. latex

    > That's a strange question., but often you have to ask as a private message latex, many clients don't support something else. Private messages are disabled in those MUCs

  19. roughnecks

if you can't talk, perhaps they're not worth your time

  20. latex

    I used to participate there

  21. Menel

Since when doe this exist and how does it come so many severs are already there, using this pubsub method? https://xmppnetwork.goodbytes.im/ I didn't get the memo it seems 😂

  22. roughnecks

I'm trying it and it's loaded but when I add my domain i get the following text in reply: A pub/sub subscription request was sent to pub/sub node 'xmpp:pubsub.woodpeckersnest.space?;node=serverinfo'. Domain added, but unable to subscribe to pub/sub service. Check if a DNS record needs to be added. Check if the pub/sub domain is covered by the TLS certificate. pubsub component has both v4 and v6 dns records

  23. roughnecks

    ls /etc/letsencrypt/live/pubsub.woodpeckersnest.space/

  24. roughnecks

    cert is there too

  25. MattJ

roughnecks: check s2s to your pubsub domain with https://connect.xmpp.net

  26. roughnecks

    it doesn't connect

  27. roughnecks

    wait, now this:

    https://upload.woodpeckersnest.space:5281/file_share/44cu7l1x-i7cMvNk2eczOmV8/image.png

  29. Menel

This happens randomly, if it works sometimes, it is ok

  30. Menel

I understand the website it needs a cert that is for your domain and subdomain simultaneously, not two different certs.

  31. roughnecks

ok then, I'm out of the game

  32. chunk

a wildcard certificate? also that website shows no data on my device :|
