XMPP Service Operators - 2024-08-31

The Debian project is pleased to announce the seventh update of its stable distribution Debian 12 (codename "bookworm"). This point release mainly adds corrections for security issues, along with a few adjustments for serious problems. Security advisories have already been published separately and are referenced where available.

I was thinking of prioritizing msg stanzas ahead of large iq stanzas and smaller stanzas before big ones for maintaining responsiveness over a low bandwidth half duplex link (2400 baud)

I was also looking again at that xep for compressing stanzas ✏

or if I could somehow get TCP/IP working over radio reliably i'd just use that

I may also end up trying PPP over DSTAR low-speed data

which offers around 2400bps and I don't have to worry about the modulation or transmit control

You need to bring a "local" server to the car and use https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0361.html
