Yes. Cert was valid until 2024-10-18T21:30:52Z That server seems increasingly abandoned.

Menel, I do not understand what/why they are doing so bad maintaining the server. A lot of people would be happy to host that domain...

The domain, yes. That server with its users? Don't know who wants that. If there is someone with the ability and energy, I guess they could step forward and contact them

Until you've hosted a service for users you'll never be able to understand how thankless and brutal it is. You can have a decade of perfect uptime and never hear a peep from a soul and then 2 days or even hours of downtime and you are the scum of the earth who is clueless and doesn't know what they are doing, hundreds of people are telling you how they'd do it better etc etc.

you people host for the wrong type of people. If you do some upfront screening and are upfront about the hobbyist nature of it, most people are quite understanding.

of course if you just run a server with IBR and never interact with the users... but that's really your fault then.

if you present it as faceless infrastructue, it will attract people that will treat it as such.

Can everyone federate normally with dismail.de? I can connect via s2s but never get the s2s connection in the other direction back. Other servers are connected normally to mine ✏

moparisthebest, Link Mauve, as you might know we run jabber.hot-chilli.net for almost 20 years now. And I know what you mean. But with jabber.de it is different. It was hosted the same way we all here host our servers. But now, I do not see a red line and also no dedication. Or no skill. I have no idea. Things simply do not match together. Shit happens, but then it is interesting to see how this is handled. And something like a expired cert for days speaks for itself...
