From a young age I bought a bunch of old modems to experiment and learn from. Also to BBS with. I unfortunately couldn't because of VoIP lines. Having an actual telephone switch that's real allows me to do these things I couldn't experience for the longest of times.

  15. tom

I know about baudot and teletypes from those experiments trying to get modems working.

  16. tom

I was hoping to learn the finer details at the museum, and not just a high level.

  17. tom

I was thinking it could offer that kind of learning opportunity. Do you think its not the right place?

  18. tom

I mean, learning through fixing and maintaining the telephone equipment to get it working and functional to show off
