Kris, I raised a valid concern, please stop trying to discredit my concerns. I am aware you disagree, but you are no arbiter of truth, thus you can't say its based on falsehoods, especially how I provided a real example.

Yes, I've been running a Matrix Synapse server for almost six years now... but the fact that the database was filling up so rapidly was just driving me crazy. That one service was so incredibly expensive for my project that I decided to switch to XMPP. However, I've closed the service registration and only make it available to my shell users via PAM.

I want to apply to form an XMPP village

might setup a meshtastic -> XMPP bridge, that would be cool

I will mainly be doing telephony related stuff

I want to have 3 separate parts, an operator part where we have one or a few SBCs running a public XMPP server on site, so people can join that and chat until we decommission it at the end of the event. Then I want a client showoff, I can provide the devices, so I want android ios and maybe windows and linux? and we can show different clients, maybe print off some leaflets with installation steps for each platform.

oh and finally I forgot the last one, which will just be stickers :p
