    > Is the xmpp.earth admin here? > > I have an xmpp.earth user complaining they are unable to message a 07f.de user, due to s2s connection failure I've tried contacting them before without success. A few beings using xmpp.earth accounts have messaged me that they have troubles staying connected to queer spark

  2. Guus

I wonder if we should release a special branded version of our XMPP client called Spark. :)

    > I wonder if we should release a special branded version of our XMPP client called Spark. :) Just plaster it in pride flags and Queer Spark will adopt it :)

  4. icebound.dev

Would definitely revive spark to be fare, I don't know anyone who actively uses the client other than you Guus :)

  5. icebound.dev

"Pride month exclusive release, Spark, with added flags!"

  6. icebound.dev

s/fare/fair/ been talking too much about trains :p

    > I've tried contacting them before without success. A few beings using xmpp.earth accounts have messaged me that they have troubles staying connected to queer spark Yeah it seems like a lot of server admins are getting more difficult to actually contact :/

  8. icebound.dev

there will be a UK provider coming soon :3

  9. Martin

Once you manage to get in contact with such an hard to get admin ask them to implement xep 0157.

  10. icebound.dev

    > Once you manage to get in contact with such an hard to get admin ask them to implement xep 0157. Lol

  11. icebound.dev

Maybe we should have a XMPP operator meetup, I saw one was done digitally by the JoinJabber folks a while back. Maybe a few hours in which the operators can discuss common issues we are having?

  12. icebound.dev

recently there has been a spamwave with usernicks matching "JEW <some number" and the message "am israel hi" or something like that does anyone know which server(s) those accounts come from?

  20. Lilith [queer-spark.org]

They have mostly been from magicbroccoli.de of the ones I've seen

    >> I wonder if we should release a special branded version of our XMPP client called Spark. :) > Just plaster it in pride flags and Queer Spark will adopt it :) That could be fun 😁 I doubt many would actually adopt it, though. I've been encouraging clients like cheogram, monocles, movim, and gajim for a while for reaction support for services like crowdmod, but there are still plenty that stick to whatever client they are already using, no matter what features it lacks

  22. icebound.dev

    > maybeyou could start a thread in the mailing list? it would help longform discussion Maybe...

  23. icebound.dev

I dont think many people here are subscribed to the operators mailing list, but I guess I will draft an email to it and post it here?

Yeah, it hit one of queer spark's channels that aren't even listed on SJN

I'd assume a bot can walk through that

  29. stratself

i like that theres a mailing list for longform discussion anyhow

    > are those channels listed in the MUC domain directory? I'd assume a bot can walk through that They are listed through disco, so I assume so. Though, it was just one of the non SJN channels. There a lot of other channels too. I'm not sure what the criteria was 🤷‍♀️
