Regarding the workshop, one idea I had was that it could be used to help people to deploy an XMPP server (or possibly other XMPP services), I'm not sure whether there would be enough interest though and more importantly, whether there will be enough people to staff both a stand and a workshop room. Goffi also suggested helping people with installing/using various clients but I think that could probably be handled at the stand
