    I've just posted to the summit mailing list on the usage of language. Sadly, people told me after last years summit, that they couldn't follow some of the discussions, as the level of spoken English was to high for them.

    I wasn't aware of that at the time - but now that we are, lets try and avoid that.

    Also, if it affects you, please speak up - either in public (this is nothing to be ashamed of), or in private.

    A concrete thing like "Kev, please try not to use more than 4 negations in a sentence" is workable, but "don't use complex language" isn't something I expect people to be able to filter on the fly.

    I think all we can do is hope people ask other people to repeat themselves phrased differently if they didn't understand.

    I'm also thinking that being aware of this problem goes a long way to avoid it.
