XMPP Summit - 2026-01-13

emus, so I have made some progress on the accomodation so I would like to register for the summit, only I'm confused by the information on the wiki: the summit capacity was (and is) listed as 30 people, but the venue information now says that the meeting room is limited to 25 people only. Does that mean the capacity is full now after all?

balejk, Register anyway, we'll figure something out. I'm happy to drop out of parts that don't interest me to ensure newer people get a (literal and figurative) seat at the table.

If there are too many people I also plan on leaving at times, fwiw.

I can't imagine that if there's 25 people, we can't fit in one other - especially since we've previously been told that we can bump up occupancy to 30.

I'd not be surprised of not all of the 25 registered people show up anyway.

I suspect that things were tied down to 25 for emus to be able to have a specific number of people to cater for (lunch). That, too, is easily adhoc-adjusted. We'll volunteer dwd to run out and find pizza, in the worst case scenario.

We can order lunch "as much or less we want" so far the number was 25 people. balejk: if you list now it will be 26 and that is alright. ↺

I was told that up to 30 people can come. So we are still in the range for more.
