    > Is there more news on the rumored railway strike in Belgium It's not a rumor, it's very much real. The way I get it, they know for sure only 24 hours in advance. I think this page is a good way to know about yours: https://www.belgiantrain.be/en/travel-info/train-network-travel-info/strike

    > MattJ/my train got cancelled, but other Eurostars are running. Do you know if you still can make it?

  4. MattJ

Eurostar let me move to a different train which is (supposedly) still running, and Dave did the same, so we should still get to Brussels at least

  5. Daniel

Deutsche Bahn says that German trains into Belgium maybe affected. But doesn't specify what that means exactly. I guess that could mean anything from 5 minutes late to no trains running at all 🤷‍♂️

    Daniel, So normal for DB?

  8. Daniel

    Indeed

  9. goffi

Last year it took me 27 hours to come, let's see if I'll break the record this year 💪

  10. dwd

    There's always Flixbus.

  11. dwd

I did this last year, and now have zero fear about last-minute travel around Europe: https://lupine.co.uk/race/2025-london-to-tallinn-race-report.html

    > There's always Flixbus. I used to do it, but honesly, I'm feeling too old for 15/20 hours in a bus. While I have not problem for the same duration in a train (in normal conditions at least).

  13. dwd

    Where are you coming from?

  14. goffi

    dwd, Slovakia

  15. dwd

Oh, that's quite a distance indeed.
