  20. Vanaryon Hi!
  21. Kev Hello.
  22. Vanaryon I would like to submit a little change to the microblogging XEP (file attach feature), can I speak about it here?
  23. Kev Try the standards@ list.
  24. Vanaryon All right, thanks ;)
  25. Vanaryon It's a missing feature for microblogging, that you can see running in Jappix (https://www.jappix.com/) ;) I will send a little mail
  26. Vanaryon Kev, do you know any other XMPP client using this XEP right now?
  27. Vanaryon I'd like to see how others are integrating it in their clients ;)
  28. Kev No, I think everyone decided the XEP wasn't much use and is waiting for / work ing on something better.
  29. Tobias has left
  30. Vanaryon Okay, I see. So a complete XEP revision will be done (another XML scheme, ...) ?
  31. Tobias has joined
  32. Vanaryon Message sent to standards@ ;)
  33. stpeter thanks!
  34. Vanaryon Did you received it? I did not get mine from the list, that's strange :S (or your ML server does not send the sender message back to him?)
  35. Kev I've not received it. Are you subscribed?
  36. Vanaryon Kev, yes
  37. Vanaryon Sent again
  38. Vanaryon My message is HTML encoded, does this affect the ML server?
  39. Vanaryon Strange, I did not get it back again. Are the ML servers up?
  40. Kev It's fairly unlikely that they aren't.
  41. Vanaryon Maye I should send the mail to someone of you who will send it via their own address?
  42. Vanaryon *Maybe
  43. Kev Can do if you want.
  44. Vanaryon I PM-ed you ;)
  45. Kev I know.
  46. stpeter heh
  47. stpeter Vanaryon: you need to send the message from the same address you used to subscribe
  48. Vanaryon stpeter : I did ;)
  49. Kev stpeter: I already checked that.
  50. Kev Or asked that, rather.
  51. stpeter ok
  52. stpeter goes back to reviewing http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-httpbis-content-disp-08

  82. stpeter Will: yeah I stalled on that because I got busy with IETF preparations
  83. Will i don't envy you
  84. stpeter shrugs

  106. Alex hey guys, how are you?
  107. stpeter hi Alex :)
  108. stpeter do we have a quorum?
  109. Alex yes we do
  110. Kev Yay.
  111. stpeter ah, good
  112. Alex ok, lets start
  113. Alex bangs the gavel
  114. Alex our Agenda for today is here: http://xmpp.org/about-xmpp/xsf/meeting-minutes/xsf-member-meeting-2011-03-16/
  115. Alex 1) Call for Quorum
  116. Alex 41 members have voted via proxy, so we have a quorum
  117. Alex 2) Items Subject to a Vote
  118. Alex New and Returning members , you can find the applications here: http://wiki.xmpp.org/web/Membership_Applications_February_2011
  119. Alex 3) Opportunity for XSF Members to Vote in the Meeting
  120. Alex does anybody wants to vote in the meeting?
  121. stpeter I think everyone here has voted
  122. kurt.zeilenga Alex, I like to request my votes, currently attributed to kdz@jabber.org <mailto:kdz@jabber.org>, be attributed to my JID of record, kurt.zeilenga@isode.com <mailto:kurt.zeilenga@isode.com>.
  123. Neustradamus hi all
  124. kurt.zeilenga that is, s/kdz@jabber.org <mailto:s/kdz@jabber.org>/kurt.zeilenga@isode.com/ in the records/minutes.
  125. Alex no problem Kurt
  126. stpeter kurt.zeilenga: do we have cryptographic assurance that kdz@jabber.org is controlled by the same person who controls kurt.zeilenga@isode.com? ;-)
  127. kurt.zeilenga no.
  128. Alex ok , lemme prepare the results
  129. Tobias stpeter: can't you assure that by reading through years of chat archives of the kdz@jabber.org account? :D
  130. stpeter Tobias: perhaps :)
  131. Steven Parkes has joined
  132. stpeter hi Steven
  133. Steven Parkes late but ...
  134. Alex 4) Announcement of Voting Results
  135. Alex when you relead the page at: http://xmpp.org/about-xmpp/xsf/meeting-minutes/xsf-member-meeting-2011-03-16/ you can see the results
  136. Alex all new and returning members were accepted
  137. stpeter ok!
  138. Alex 5) Any Other Business?
  139. stpeter I still need to propose a change to the bylaws about membership application periods
  140. stpeter i.e., the clause about "Applications from prospective new members shall be accepted during the first 10 days of each quarter (i.e., in January, April, July, and October)"
  141. Alex yes, and we have to finanlize the changed Dave proposed before the next board and council vote
  142. stpeter I don't remember that change
  143. Alex don't remeber exactly either, have to check in the archieves again
  144. stpeter ok
  145. stpeter so we need to get those proposals onto the agenda for the next meeting
  146. stpeter that way, they will apply in September
  147. Kev Did Dave get as far as proposing?
  148. Kev I don't remember if he proposed, or proposed to propose.
  149. stpeter sends an email about it *right now*
  150. Alex its in this thread: http://mail.jabber.org/pipermail/members/2010-September/005961.html
  151. Alex 6) Formal Adjournment
  152. stpeter hmm, there are some formatting glitches at http://xmpp.org/about-xmpp/xsf/xsf-bylaws/ -- Will and I shall add that to our list of pages to fix
  153. Alex I motion that we adjourn
  154. stpeter seconded
  155. Alex bangs the gavel
  156. Alex thanks guys
  157. stpeter thank you, Alex!
  158. Alex had discussions with dave about a new memberbot, based on sleek, lua or swiften
  159. Alex we thought the members could decide on a framework and tsrat hacking on it
  160. stpeter I'm all in favor of a new memberbot :)
  161. stpeter checks http://www.rfc-editor.org/authors/rfc6120-lastdiff.html
  162. stpeter looks good, now I'll return to my review of http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-sidr-arch-12 -- oh joy! ;-)
  163. Alex need some food and have to watch the news, back later
  164. kurt.zeilenga has left
  165. Kev Thanks Alex.
  166. Neustradamus it is planned to update history ? http://xmpp.org/about-xmpp/history/
  167. Steven Parkes has left
  168. stpeter Neustradamus: yes, that's another page to be updated :)
  169. Neustradamus :)
  170. stpeter Neustradamus: do you have editing privileges in WordPress?
  171. Neustradamus Can you add a link to the mediawiki(http://wiki.xmpp.org/) ? example in the top menu ?
  172. Neustradamus I think yes
  173. stpeter Neustradamus: where do you think the link to the wiki belongs? under "Resources"?
  174. stpeter oh joy, I found a bug in Firefox that is causing my browser to freeze
  175. Neustradamus the best solution will be "alone" : Wiki
  176. Kev I don't think it deserves a top-level link. Below resources seems reasonable.
  177. stpeter agreed
  178. stpeter I suppose I'll need to report this bug, because I can reproduce it...
  179. Neustradamus yes, I accept in resources
  180. Neustradamus it is possible to redirect http://xmpp.net/ to http://xmpp.org/resources/certificates/ ?
  181. stpeter I thought I had done that already
  182. Neustradamus strange, I see always the "old page".
  183. stpeter hmm
  184. stpeter fixing
  185. Neustradamus ok :)
  186. stpeter try now
  187. stpeter hmph
  188. Neustradamus same :(
  189. stpeter yeah
  190. stpeter ok, I'll add it to my list of things to check when I have time
  191. Neustradamus ok !
  192. Neustradamus it is on your todo list too : http://xmpp.org/services/ ?
  193. stpeter Neustradamus: I'll update the history page when the new RFCs are published
  194. Neustradamus ok :)
  195. stpeter yes we need to fix the services page -- I know for a fact that the .xml file is used by clients (e.g., Miranda), and for now we might need to made the edits in the xml file and in WordPress (two edits instead of one, but at least we'll update the data!!!)
  196. stpeter brb
  197. Neustradamus ok
  198. dwd Only three votes against me? I'm obviously failing to be suffieicntly contraversial.
  199. Kev I think I usually manage significantly more than that.
  200. dwd Nobody made me a wikipedia page, though. :-(
  201. stpeter I wonder if http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-sidr-ghostbusters-00 will run afoul of trademark laws
  202. stpeter dwd: you don't have a wikipedia page? shocking!
  203. Alex has left
  204. Neustradamus dwd :D
  205. dwd stpeter, I know, I just don't understand it.
  206. dwd stpeter, And as for sidr-ghostbusters, I suspect different fields of endevour.
  207. stpeter dwd: there is no justice in the world!
  208. dwd stpeter, There is no justice, there's just us.™
  209. dwd Apparently Malcolm X. Always wondered that.
  210. stpeter Is that Malcolm X™ ?
