I’m reading MIX, and section 3 says “A user's participation in a channel outlives their presence session. A user who is offline will not share presence within the channel, but will still be listed as an participant. This too is a significant departure from MUC.” How would that model fit with very short-lived sessions, like the typical help channel where participants use an anonymous JID and are gone forever once they close their browser tab?

Or are such users expected to continue to use the MUC protocol instead?
