XSF Discussion - 2018-01-28

Google's Open Source Programs Office will not be joining us for the XSF Dinner - they have another event that night.

They probably appreciated that we asked, though, thanks Guus.

They did, according to their response. They mentioned that they were looking forward to having us back (in GSoC) in the future.

Kev, I'm about to compile an email that includes things like the venue and something of an agenda.

Start at 10-ish, end at 5-ish for both dates sound about right?

Oh, that sort of agenda. Yes, that sounds good to me if Cisco are good with that.

Anything else that you'd suggest I mail around in advance?

A suggestion that people get in the summit channel, and if they want to arrange meeting up for food on Wednesday they do it there?

I'd love to give my "what sucks about xmpp" talk, remotely, but I can't promise any specific time slot in advance, not even the existence of such a time slot.

Ge0rG: I'm still hoping to write up something for the inbox before we go, despite being ill last week knocking my schedule off somewhat.

The XSF dinner, next night the FSFE is going out, and on saturday google is having a meetup for GSoC students/Mentors
