Is there any way to define group membership for access management? For example, to grant access to a pubsub node to all members of a group instead of each jid individually (I'm thinking of MIX chat rooms...)

  9. Fabian

In the pubsub specs, the "roster" access model seems closest to what I'm thinking, but it is always tied to the owner's personal roster...

  10. Dave Cridland

Fabian, There's no interoperable thing to do that. But I believe a couple of servers might have something. I would not be averse to trying to standardize something there.

But that would probably not work without modifying the originial pubsub spec, right? Groups definitions could be standardized in a new XEP, but a new "node access model" would have to be added to the pubsub access model in the original spec...
