There's the concept of "notification-only" nodes

which tell you "a thing happened", but no payload is required

Link Mauve and I were just discussing whether that means they should be forbidden on nodes that haven't explicitly been configured that way

jonasw: when you created the consistent color xep why didn't you use HSV?

Not saying it'd be better just trying to understand

daniel: IIRC HSV doesn't provide equal brightness when you rotate around the wheel

fwiw i just changed my code to using hsluv

imho the colors are less ugly by default than what falls out out the ycbcr based one

and it's more evenly distributed
