Ugh, @width and @height are xs:unsignedByte in XEP-0084, I hope no one ever had an avatar bigger than 256×256…

There were some issues with Gajim stuttering while it had to display some avatar in 8k×8k

It was also a plain yellow avatar, so this user was up to something probably

There is that 1Mx1M png file. I should set it up as an avatar for MUCs.

Exactly the time I started doing stuff myself. Must've been a boring month.

OTOH: my first two pain points were 0280 and stable MUC message IDs.

So not much has actually changed

Nothing special about the image, just the height/width tags were too big

every image processing lib you use in a client will also be able to determine the size of the picture

More seriously, though, stpeter set these types back in 2007 (in version 0.10), so that's eons ago.
