  1. Neustradamus

moparisthebest: yes, it will be nice to have actual year directly, no future change about it in files...

  2. jonas’

    Neustradamus, hah, good catch

  3. jonas’

so there are *two* sources of the 2018, I only updated one

  4. Neustradamus

Look licence and other files too.

  5. jonas’

rion, fwiw, the toc sidebar is inspired by many other open source projects which do something similar (and which I personally find a very useful thing, for example https://uwsgi-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ ). if you have specific suggestions on how to make it look less "9x", as you say, let me know :)

  7. flow

moparisthebest, IIRC you said you run a DoX resolver somewhere? Under which address is it available?

  8. moparisthebest

flow, dns@moparisthebest.com/listener if it's still working, looks like it is...

  9. moparisthebest

that is running at my house so feel free to poke but don't rely on it

  10. moparisthebest

I'm in the process of setting up a more reliable + quicker setup on google compute engine's free tier VPS...

  11. moparisthebest

can let you know when it's done

  12. jonas’

I thought this was about privacy ;)

  13. Zash

jonas’: Oh, ¶ links to anchors? NICE

  15. Zash

    flow: Bought yourself a TLD?

  16. flow

    urgs

  17. flow

    thanks Zash

  18. Zash

    :)

  19. jonas’

    Zash, :)

  20. moparisthebest

jonas’, re: privacy, still haven't decided if I'll recursively resolve myself from there, in which case google sees incoming TLS only, but all queries in plaintext, OR whether I'll just forward to DoT on 1.1.1.1 in which case google sees just TLS in and TLS out

  21. moparisthebest

either way the TLS in protects privacy, *especially* via S2S XMPP connections, because you can't even guess with timing attacks, I think

  22. moparisthebest

and I'll operate my own cache so, still better than querying google or cloudflare directly right? :)

  23. mikaela

moparisthebest: Have you seen https://dnsprivacy.org/wiki/m/mobile.action?dest=%23page%2F1277971 ? That should be a list of DoT servers, but the mobile page seems a bit bad and I have no idea if copy-pasting the URL works

  24. moparisthebest

    Yep have seen it

  25. moparisthebest

No DoX servers on there yet though :)

  26. Zash

Has 1.1.1.1 added DoX support yet?

  27. moparisthebest

Not that I know of, still planning to try and email someone there

  28. 404.city Support

Would it make sense to create a public petition so that XMPP.ORG stopped lobbying some servers? https://github.com/xsf/xmpp.org/issues/555

  29. 404.city Support

I'm tired of the biased lists that are impossible to get into.
