I'm not sure I can convince my SO, anyway. The last console I bought was an Xbox360, and the only game it saw was KingKong, up to the font file exploit to load Linux

Ge0rG: yeah, I know - it is the platform push infrastructure & whatsapp. Both cases are a bit doubtful to what extend it still is XMPP or not.

Ge0rG: I usually say something like: you are almost for certain using XMPP without knowing it.

BTW: does anybody know any details on the deployment of XMPP at the French ambulance service? I have a discussion on LinkedIn where it may be very tactical to mention it, if the case fits well enough.

MIT seems quite odd, I didn't think the XSF tended to use that, it's usually CC-ish if anything, AFAICR.

Ah, right, so what's happened here is that someone has taken the logo, found that XEPs are MIT licensed, and so claimed that the logo must be MIT licensed, despite not being a XEP.

At least, that's what it looks like to me.

I think the logo is fair use as trademark anyways, isn’t it? If you’re using it according to the trademark stuff anyways

Also possible, but as that page links to the XEP's IPR policy as the one used for the logo, I'm not entirely convinced.

There is no claimed trademark on XMPP, nor the logo. But we issued its creation.

Anyway, I asked Peter and he also said it is covered by our IPR policy
