The XEP thing is a good attempt, but we should have skipped the finished LCs probably. "This Last Call begins today and shall end at the close of business on 2019-08-13." ✏

As someone who just recently (Co) started a meetup (and also failed to start one before): just do it

Note that meetups are generally something regular, and a few hours, they're not weekend long events

The first step, applying for a room, is in progress. They chosen ones are announced end of the month, and then each room should put out an CfP before Oct 15.
