    XEP-0060 seems to indicate that it's configurable? (throught notification_type)

    XEP-0163 includes the type in all of the examples, but has no mention of it otherwise.

    I think normally there are normal but I don't know why

    0060 does indicate that 'headline' can be used as a way to prevent them from ending up in an archive or something

    but it's not a default used in examples of XEP-0060 either, it seems.

    I've also assumed that headline is default but most likely due to examples of default node configuration on XEP-0060 (Example 154) as it is not stated anywhere what is default
