I feel like the way XEP-0045 is structured makes it hard to understand

From what I can tell, pep. made minutes the last two meetings, and I before that. I believe we agreed to rotate, but if you prefer I appoint someone each meeting, I'd be happy to.

2. XEP-0001 clarifications

What is the thing we need to do here?

AIUI it was generally agreed that XEP-0001 doesn't reflect the way we actually do some things these days

and there is no progress on updating it

Right, the 'few days' of stepping back that Kev suggested has been a slight bit longer.

What I can do is revisit the points being made around then, ask Kev if he's still interested in writing up a PR, and if not, suggest a change myself.

3. Old agenda items

As mentioned at 0), we have a bunch of old cruft in there.

E.g. the server setup with MattJ and Messenger Regulation with Ge0rG.

Also Adopt a Character, typos with jonas’, and the item on hiring a comms person.

Ge0rG, right. I was pointed to a recent article in Heise, with Mrs. Reda's point of view, but I'm unsure how to procede from where we are.

Well, maybe something as fundamental as the XMPP protocol isn't even on her radar, but she seems to think that she can fund her way out it.

Ge0rG, anyway, is there anything we can do at this point? Do you intend to follow-up?

Regarding the Adopt a Character, I was in favour of it but not sure what happened after flow picked it up. I can't take more tasks right now, so unfortunately if there is no one that could work on this, we might need to call it a loss

I haven't had time to dedicate to it, as most of my volunteering time (and more) has been on other related things, such as the recent IETF effort

But I don't think we're in a bad place, and are making slow progress - jonas’ has some automation that he'll deploy soon, which should fix the issues with the website and other things not updating automatically

XSF infra competes for the same block of time as things like the jabber.org migration, which is still ongoing

on both IETF and our own infra
