  1. Ge0rG

edhelas: but is it a list if it only contains Zash?

  2. DebXWoody

Two JIDs can have the same DeviceId?

  3. DebXWoody

    v

  4. DebXWoody

Maybe it is a rare case, but the OMEMO DeviceID is not unique, am I right?

  5. Daniel

    Yes it's not unique

  6. DebXWoody

ohoh,.. looks we have implemented version 0.3.0 of OMEMO. The current version supports a header which has the deviceid (rid) per jid - if I understand well. Which clients supports OMEMO Version 0.4.0 and higher?

  7. flow

    AFAIKT none

  8. flow

Zash please add the XEP for "user device discovery and management" to your list

  9. flow

    ;)

  10. L29Ah

what about a XEP for XEP discovery and management?

  11. vanitasvitae

DebXWoody: you could look at uwpx

  12. vanitasvitae

Apparently it supports omemo 0.5.0: https://github.com/UWPX/UWPX-Client#features

  13. flow

indeed, at least uwpx uses the according omemo namespace

  18. meetpal_sangra

is it hard for a non-technical user to create his own Xmpp MUC ? i want to create my own Xmpp MUC but i dont know how to do it , and the xmpp docs are too much 😥️

  19. rion

meetpal_sangra: you don't need to create one. Just join it.

  20. rion

Unless u r talking about the whole service bring up

  21. lovetox

meetpal_sangra, there is a dino support chat

  22. meetpal_sangra

  29. meetpal_sangra

  30. Zash

Reading for building a bot, or just in general?

  31. meetpal_sangra

  32. Zash

    https://xmpp.org/about/technology-overview.html or https://xmpp.org/extensions/

  33. meetpal_sangra

    thank you 😁️

  34. Zash

I like how those are hidden away in menus, when that's like the primary purpose of the XSF

  35. meetpal_sangra

    👌️

  36. emus

Hello hello, one question: Haven't there really been any further security issues or is it not maintained? https://xmpp.org/community/security-notices/

  37. Ge0rG

emus: not maintained, also see the recent CVE discussion on standards

  38. emus

If one can name / tell me the numbers/links I can update it

  39. emus

I also wanted to friendly ask again if someone with access could post the newsletter toot on twitter? https://fosstodon.org/web/statuses/106195170518281226

  40. Ge0rG

emus: I'm going to add the known CVEs into the respective XEPs as soon as my PR gets merged

  41. Ge0rG

Then we could create an automatic list with a few lines of code

  42. emus

    Ok, which PR?

  43. emus

    https://github.com/xsf/xeps/pull/1055

  44. emus

  45. emus

let me know if I can something
