    I think we all know this; it's a bad comparison, but a fair one to make since the community keeps recommending it as if it's a service, not a protocol. The solution is to actually get anyone building a service based on XMPP then recommending that instead. Snikket is doing a good job in that direction.

    theoretically, what would be thought of a XEP implementing JSON blobs? Theoretical uses would include speaking OMEMO when the remote clients aren't XMPP clients, but instead [m] clients. ✎
