  2. Ge0rG

marc: I just realized that in the https://github.com/xsf/xeps/pull/874 PR, I also added myself as an author. I'm sure you agreed to that back in 2019, but I'd like to refresh that approval

  3. marc

    Ge0rG: 👌

  4. Ge0rG

marc: cool, thanks. Then I'd also take care of the Last Call feedback, if there is any.

  5. marc

Ge0rG: sure, thanks for your work 👍

  6. marc

Let me know if I can help somehow

  7. Ge0rG

    marc: thanks, will do

  8. Sam

Huh, someone has sent the XSF $11 USD on the Open Collective. I don't know why, but it didn't occur to me that people would want to do that though of course using the platform would make it possible. That's nice.

  9. emus

    😃

  10. emus

Sam: as we has the issue recently, credentials are shared with iTeam?

  11. Sam

emus: there aren't credentials, I offered to make <important people> admins if they sent me their account details. Right now it's just me and Peter (the treasurer) on there

  12. Sam

But there's no shared account or anything

  13. Kev

I don’t have an iteam leadhat any more, but if I did, Sam+Peter would seem enough to me.

  14. Sam

I still never convinced anyone else to be on the YouTube account, so that's one that could also use more people while we're talking about it :)

  15. Kev

I *thought* you added me? Maybe we didn’t do that in the end. I’m about to go into a meeting, so can’t sort now, in any case. MattJ would be the ideal person as iteam catherder.

  16. Sam

It's quite possible that I did and then forgot too

  17. Sam

Oh would you look at that, yup, you're on there. *whew*

  18. Sam

hmm, apparently *only* bank transfers are showing up as a donation method. That doesn't seem right.

  19. dwd

Yes, only bank transfers listed, though the blurb all talks about card numbers and Stripe.

  20. dwd

Also, Kev - is a "leadhat" an upgrade from a "tinfoilhat"?

  21. Sam

Yah, I misunderstood and thought Paypal gave us card transfers, but that's only outbound. For inbound we need to steup stripe. I emailed Peter about it.

  22. emus

Sam: I would, but I dont wanna put my private mail to Google

  23. ralphm

Might not make it to the Board Meeting in time today.

  24. arc

    Is anyone here?

  25. Kev

Yes, but I’m not one of the anyone’s you care about :)

  26. MattJ

    o/

  27. arc

That's two of us, quorum wise

  28. dwd

    And me, sorry.

  29. dwd

I was disctracted by the collapse of a previous employer.

  30. MattJ

I don't think I have anything on my radar for discussion this week, anyone else?

  31. dwd

Just to note that the Open Collective thing has gone live, and Peter's sorting out a Stripe account for card payments.

  32. dwd

Obviously if you've read your email, or just up about 10 messages, you'll know that anyway. :-)

  34. wurstsalat

shoud the 'Books' section get revived on xmpp.org ? https://web.archive.org/web/20150811200321/http://xmpp.org/resources/books/ We could add current literature, papers, .. as emus suggested

  35. Zash

    Sounds like a good idea

  36. dwd

There's Lloyd's book to add, too.

  37. wurstsalat

dwd do you have a link?

  38. wurstsalat

and should that be available under "Community" ?

  39. dwd

    https://www.packtpub.com/product/practical-xmpp/9781785287985 This one.

  40. moparisthebest

wow, some of that reads like a dinosaur

  41. moparisthebest

    > Decentralized: Unlike big messaging silos such as MSN messenger or ICQ

  42. Zash

    ICQ still exists tho?

  43. moparisthebest

imagine a young person who's only computing device has been a tablet or phone reading this :'( "such as what now ????"

  44. moparisthebest

at the same time they'd read "multi-device" and be like "wow that would be cool, wish my messengers had that feature" lol

  45. wurstsalat

    true

  46. Zash

    Althoooo

  47. Zash

  48. emus

XMPP is on Netflix.... well - in a series about a German online drug seller! 😀

  49. dwd

There's something to put on the website.

  50. emus

    ^^

  51. Ge0rG

I've been featured in a TV film production back in the 90s, in my then favorite irc channel

  52. Ge0rG

And you don't need multi device if you have two accounts!

  53. emus

    Ge0rG: I know 😂

  54. emus

I wanted to share the screenshot but I have some connection issues

  60. Zash

    Pretty!

  61. wurstsalat

if you have any other publications at hand (papers, etc.), emus and I want to collect them (or links to them) on this page

  62. wurstsalat

I remember this for example https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2019RMxAC..51...15H/abstract

  63. emus

wurstsalat: Is there a way to expand and collapse views?

  64. emus

by this we may could have two sections

  65. wurstsalat

    Not yet, but possible

  66. emus

that could be an option between books and papers
