I would like to ask the English speakers among us to write some posts on the subject of federation and the latest facebook outage, explaining the benefits of federation to idiot politicians in simple language. It should be emphasized that it is not something that needs to be invented but something that already exists and is in danger of being banned. Let's start lobbying

why not write the post yourself and have a native english speaker do the proof reading/editing?

phryk, knowing some background about your request, what you're after is actually UI for error handling. You won't have luck with that at the XSF - there is a strong tradition of not dictating client UI rules, except when it's necessary for security purposes in a specific XEP.
