Right but no one cares about how the rest of the world does dates wrong

  2. sebastian

Well, if there is a "right way" to do dates, then it's not mm.dd.yy, but yyyy-mm-dd 😉

  3. Guus

I'm not sure if there is a 'right way' but I'm pretty confident that there is a 'wrong way'...

  4. Menel

Everyone: "there is a counterflow driver.." USA: " One? Hundreds!"

  5. emus

Folks - back to the topic - we can celebrate the whole year if nothing helps ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So lets discuss if we want this and if you like the apporach :-)

  6. Ingolf

    > the american xmpp day, 2nd of may... 5.2.22 > Good luck 🙃 > As in port 5222, the official port of XMPP > 🤯 Interesting story.

  7. Ingolf

    > Hello XSF folks! > I (emus) started an initiative to celebrate XMPP this year. I have a loose idea to collect statements from the community, developers, users, projects etc. > I cannot state yet that we will post all of them and how, to ensure some quality. But let's start with collection. We can discuss later how we going to deal with it best. > Tell a "tweetable" story, experience, background about XMPP. Why do you use it, why do you think its great? Why are you involved? How did you come to XMPP? What ever you think that affects this and suits! We should go for a wide spectrum of stories! > Date: Well, I see people might can take this as a joke - but we can find a work around maybe - open for suggestions! > https://yopad.eu/p/xmpp-celebration2022 > Let me know if things needs to be board approved or whatever I don't see here! > What do you think? :-) > Cheers > Eddie A very good idea. There is certainly already a lot of material, I think of many entries here in the groups that could be used, perhaps with the consultation of the relevant participants. Maybe it could be used for a lecture at the upcoming "DIVOC" at Easter by the CCC. At least the concept would have to be submitted there by 13.03. It would have a wide scope for describing and presenting Jabber/XMPP. Perhaps this could also be discussed in the 'rC3/DIVOC' room. xmpp:rc3@conference.monocles.de?join We from the 'Literatur Café 7' room xmpp:test-ccc-1@conference.monocles.de?join also try to make a cultural contribution to the upcoming 'DIVOC'. So if you are interested ... ;-)

I'm fone if someone uses their chance to make a presentation but I personally don't have the resource. Especially, if we get the Go by Google tonight (I really hope we made it)

  9. emus

I'm fine if someone uses their chance to make a presentation but I personally don't have the resource. Especially, if we get the Go by Google tonight (I really hope we made it)

  10. Ingolf

  13. emus

Would be happy to hear, from the XSF officials, if that would be a supported happening? But of course from other members, too.

Ha, but I was really scared after Google's mail these days that 25% of the organisations lagged details in their application. But luckily we were really early with everything and I assume also the wiki was good already before
