  1. qy

A number of gateways/bridges have two part identifiers

  2. qy

Would it not be an idea to standardise that form

  3. qy

    E.g. biboumi uses nick%server@gateway

  4. qy

    Cheogram uses id=40host@gateway

  5. Zash

    Meet https://xmpp.org/extensions/xep-0106.html

  6. qy

Ah, so biboumi is just noncompliant

  7. Zash

Standards are great! Everyone should have one 😀

  8. qy

I more meant standardising the entire twopart thing though, e.g. bifrost uses #channel#homeserver@bifrost

  9. qy

We could have one unified way for two part localparts

  10. MattJ

Well, biboumi isn't non-compliant, there just isn't a standard format. I think the preferred thing to do would be XEP-0100 to discover the JID

  11. MattJ

Not every other protocol identifies channels the same way

  12. MattJ

Also biboumi supports #channel@ format too

  13. qy

    Hrm
