I more meant standardising the entire twopart thing though, e.g. bifrost uses #channel#homeserver@bifrost

Well, biboumi isn't non-compliant, there just isn't a standard format. I think the preferred thing to do would be XEP-0100 to discover the JID

Not every other protocol identifies channels the same way
