    What client do you even use I thought maybe I could connect to telegram/instagram/whatsapp via xmpp transports to have less spyware on my device. I registered on hot chilli which supports those. Conversations outright doesn't support service discovery apparently, so no way of connecting to a transport. Same for Dino. Gajim does, but when I merely select a transport in the list, it gives me some Python exception about an undefined attribute (which I suppose is just because the code is not tested at all). So what client is one even supposed to use now? Other clients to my knowledge don't even support omemo...

    kurisu: gajim but a better version probably? Or psi. OMEMO not relevant for gateways and also you can use one client to setup the gateway and another to use it

    Like you'll be able to use conversations with it once it's setup

    kurisu, the discovery is only necessary if you don't know the address and its format. And yes other clients do support OMEMO, I think we've been bullied enough for it to have it implemented in most places by now :)

    kurisu, I Gajim, Movim(?), Poezio for sure. But discovery is mostly convenience
