  1. edhelas

Hey, I'll have a stand in Paris next month for Movim, I am currently looking for some communication and goodies

  2. edhelas

Is there a place where I could get some XMPP stickers/flyers and other small things like that ?

  3. emus

edhelas: If this can be seen as XMPP event lets tweet & toot it

  4. Guus

Openfire does not allow S2S EXTERNAL (on the inbound connection - it doesn't support BIDI at all) when itself has a self-signed certificate. Does that make sense?

  5. jonas’

    no

  6. jonas’

on inbound, the peer needs to authenticate itself, so I'd expect EXTERNAL to be offered there if the peer certificate is ok

  7. Guus

agreed. It's acceptable for the inboudn and outbound connections to be authenticated in different ways, right?

  8. Guus

I'm trying to think of another reason why you'd not want to have EXTERNAL on the inbound available if you yourself are using a self-signed certificate - but I can't think of much more than "this is possibly an experimental setup where TLS is going to fail anyways"

  9. flow

Does anyone know what created https://www.xmpp.org/extensions/atom.xml (now defunct) in the past?

  10. edhelas

    Maybe 0277 ?

  11. flow

how would one add https://github.com/xsf/xeps/pull/1220 to board's agenda?

  12. MattJ

    flow, like that :)

  13. MattJ

We don't currently have a meeting scheduled, but we should be able to make progress without one, or try to have one soon

  14. moparisthebest

Guus: Tor is the reason to support that

  15. moparisthebest

They are self signed, but you need sasl external to make sure the incoming cert is the same that you get with your outgoing connection

  16. emus

btw maybe we can have something "simple" as github.does with licenses?
