btw, all this problem can be solved with the minimum amount of work by using the logo without text.

> As for alternatives, we've used hotel conference rooms before. Yes, there are plenty of locations in Brussels when Cisco does not work for some reasons. Many years ago I negotiated a good rate for a big meeting room in the hotel most of us were staying

Note that the CoC is not actually in force

ralphm
The XEP is still experimental

Apart from that, I think the room topic is just fine

> ralphm: > Note that the CoC is not actually in force > The XEP is still experimental Well as a community we should have a CoC that is enforcing if we want to be welcoming and inclusive. And mention it in the title of course. So people are aware and feel more safe and odher people less likely to say/do stupid stuff. Anything stopping it from it being in force?

MSavoritias (fae,ve)
The operators room already points to guideline that includes the CoC fyi
-
Ellenor Malik
it is probably already used as (non-authoritative) persuasive on connected topics like moderation
-

MSavoritias (fae,ve), ralphm, we should push the CoC XEP toward adoption, it has worked well enough in operators@ and there haven't been any further objections in over a year

jonas’
if I got the timeline right

kurisu, you'll probably want to read XEP-0114 (Jabber Component Protocol) and XEP-0225 (Component Connections) for your bridge; and XEP-0144 (Roster Item Exchange) for sending contacts, though client support may be limited

But that's not something that'd work with most existing servers is it
