You only need to have a couple of features standing out, then a bunch of people will jump ship. Provided the other thing does not have some upfront usage dificulties for these users, they will call more people over and so on so forth, and eventually the early adopters will start learning others how that thing works

Not at all depressing when the only thing that seems to matter is network effect and enough marketing budget to bootstrap it 😢️
