  3. Guus

    You're welcome!

  4. emus

  6. emus

    Dunno

  7. Guus

I didn't do the design, that was Ralph's

  8. Axel Reimer

    > I have a few left, but not in all colours and sizes. They cost about 32 euro, plus roughly 10 euro for shipping (so a little over 42 in total) Is there one available in Size M?

  9. Axel Reimer

    .

  10. nicola

I am also interested in the sweatshirt. If there is still one available, size M, I would be happy.

  11. Guus

nicola, I don't have size M left. Please add me so we can discuss specifics: xmpp:guus.der.kinderen@igniterealtime.org

  13. emus

I'd rather initiate a new design approach first. maybe for a tshirt actually

  14. Guus

    Go for it!

Old school and new school 😊

  18. Guus

My wife is getting excited about the design for a tshirt. Emus, you two should talk πŸ˜ƒ

  19. moparisthebest

    Very nice

  20. Seve

    What a lovely shot Guus!!

  21. emus

Guus: I would be happy to progress this! the first lets query in the community for suggestions too

  22. Guus

emus: I don't think we ever had a discussion about the design much. It's more of a "look, I created a design" type of deal.

  23. emus

Guus: And that is fine. My thought is maybe we fine a red line of common points?

  24. emus

  32. ralphm

I'd been thinking about doing a new design to celebrate 2024-01-04

  33. Guus

I have zero preference for design. My local fashionista (aka the spouse) suggest keeping it simple, like so:

  35. Seve

I would maybe color de sides of the tshirt with the ones in the logo, but not sure. I'll try to show what I mean when I find a moment at home

  36. edhelas

A red and blue pill M

  37. edhelas

A red and blue pill ?

  40. ralphm

    Woah

  41. Zash

You know, mentioning other things like that works as advertisement for that thing, not your thing.

  42. jonas’

also, who wants to be in the real world these days?

  43. Guus

    worst. text. for. t-shirt. design.

  44. Zash

Guus, I tend to agree, simple is good!

  45. Zash

Was there a thing about gradients being more expensive btw? If so, might be worth simplifying even more

  46. Guus

Zash, that might depend on whatever printer we go with, and printing technique.

  47. Guus

silkscreen printing, for example, gets a markup for every color used.

  48. Guus

(but is costly for small batches either way)

  49. Guus

DTG printing does not have the cost-per-color aspect

  50. Guus

    (but is less durable)

  51. Guus

    (generally)

  52. Guus

Then there are techniques like transfer printing (which I think has much of the same pros and cons as DTG), and embroidery (which I assume is crazy expensive, especially with multiple colors, and is likely only applicable on sturdier materials)

  53. Zash

    Hmmmmm, XMPP themed vyshyvka?

  54. Guus

(I had to look that up) - that's a bit more elaborate than what I ment :)

  55. Zash

Limited edition knitted XMPP ~sweater~ hat?

  56. Guus

Heh. My mother is an accomplished hand loom weaver. She'll charge next to nothing (insisting that it's a hobby), but you'd best not order stuff in bulk :D

  57. Zash

I hear yarns are expensive these days, since apparently everyone and their cat too up knitting during the pandemic

  58. Guus

if that's the case, then she's in luck. Her stocks are ... impressive.

  59. jonas’

cats typically do different things with yarn

  60. singpolyma

Impressive stocks are the name of the game with any yarn or fabric hobby

  61. Guus

I'm not sure if we'll manage to get more off-topic for this room, btw.

  62. jonas’

    challenge accepted

  63. Guus regrets instantly.

  64. Zash

This is now the eXtreme Synthetic Fiber chat

  66. moparisthebest

Re: t-shirts I'm hoping for anything that works on a not-white shirt

  67. moparisthebest

Gray is ok, blue, orange, black, something else better :)

  68. Trung

I highly suggest keeping just the color icon and remove the text below. It will save a lot of headache. Also not changing it every now and then would help quite abit to communicate a consistant brand (which the problem with the software to ordinary users at the moment but that's another matter.)

  69. Trung

also keep a black&white version so we can print on whatever color background or even craft it out of wood or metal or whatnot

  70. mentos124

how do i use those XMPP links to put my contact thing on my site (idk how to word this correctly)

  71. moparisthebest

mentos124: you mean like a clickable link? xmpp:you@domain.com

  72. mentos124

    yes! thank you
