tmolitor
as far as I know, the XMPP registry is dead, right?
-
tmolitor
this leads to a case where I receive a MUC status code not listed over here https://xmpp.org/registrar/mucstatus.html
-
tmolitor
this needs fixing
-
tmolitor
is this an editor job or a job for someone other?
-
singpolyma
Define dead? I've registered things within the last year
-
Trung
sorry, is a phone n° a valid XMPP address? For example: +84123456789@domain.com
-
tmolitor
singpolyma: a while ago (several months) somebody said the registry is currently not working, but I don't remember if it was MattJ, Holger or somebody else...
-
tmolitor
but even if it not dead, it isn't in its best shape, if there are muc status codes used on the wire that are not listed in the registry...
-
tmolitor
Trung: yes it is, quicksy uses exactly these, for example
-
Trung
ah I see thank you. sorry I haven't try quicksy yet
-
MattJ
For anyone worried about stable XEPs depending on experimental ones, I just stumbled on an RFC that links to a Google search for one of its references: https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc6819.html#ref-X-Frame-Options
-
MattJ
Seems the target eventually became an RFC, but the search doesn't show that :)
-
Zash
"work in progress"
-
Zash
But it's under Informative References so probably fine to reference whatever
-
mentos124
woah, this chat is dead
-
Menel
mentos124: do you use a client without history?
-
MattJ
People have funny definitions of "dead" these days :)
-
mentos124
Menel no, i mainly use gajim
-
singpolyma
mentos124: it's not really a social chat :)
-
mentos124
i know
-
mentos124
pidgin has an outdated aesthetic and i like that

You may want to check out some channels at https://search.jabber.network/rooms/ Some are listed there.. Especially the bigger news or offtopic rooms have more traffic if you want that
