    composing seems to be composing. the only thing that changes ist the mimetype

    A simple "composing" state does not give clients an option to show e.g. a mic icon when somebody is recording a message. This would certainly need to be added to csn then :)

    An update to allow more information then only composing sounds nicer then a totally different xep for nearly the same function.

    These weren't exactly the same functions. Also there may be opposition in that CSN is Final.

    So no need but to have a new document. Which technically is exactly the same, except for discoverability. (but now we have tags!!)
