  1. deport

    > I wouldn't call everyone who's ever used a smart phone a small userbase but ok... I thought my meaning would be apparent? If we include everything that *uses* xmpp as a protocol, it's not necessarily of interest to me in this context. It could include things like physical sensor data being sent over xmpp. How am I supposed to refer to the set of all chats that involve a client like gajim or conversations?

  2. singpolyma

deport: i say "the jabber network" for that

  3. moparisthebest

The public federated XMPP instant message network or PFXMPPIMN for short

  4. singpolyma

mimi89999: probably registrations could verify that the brand url matches the redirect domain or similar, but yes these sorts of things are important to work out

  5. Zash

The prototype implementation we made does enforce that all URLs have the same origin.

  6. mimi89999

But the brand URL is not displayed anywhere. It's hidden under a href.

  7. Zash

    How do you know?

  8. Zash

Isn't this all UI considerations for the authorization server?

  9. Zash

    E.g. we've got this atm:

    But that's a Cisco product. 🙄

  18. debacle

    > But that's a Cisco product. 🙄 Urban Dictionary, the source of all truth, does not mention that. And that "Crisco Disco" is closed since long anyway 😉️

  19. debacle

(The young and cool people don't care. They use Snikket.)

  20. mdosch

    Snikket or quicksy. 😎

  21. nicoco

    Sniksy

I saw the https://github.com/benbucksch/mauth-spec spec as an alternative to dynamic client registration. I found some issues with it like https://github.com/benbucksch/mauth-spec/issues/4 , but it still seems interesting
